Today we hosted over 100 international fellows from the National Defense University (NDU) in Washington DC. This group of future diplomats from across the globe were able to get a glimpse of American education and had the chance to meet with and shadow our students. Thank you to all of our student ambassadors. It was a great day and wonderful opportunity for our students. #nipmucpride #MURSD
There is no school this Friday, September 20 as it is a full day teacher professional development day.
Today we welcomed 16 students and 2 teachers from the Divina Pastora School in León Spain. Thank you to Sra. Soto for planning this trip as part of our Spanish exchange program and for the Nipmuc families that are hosting these students. We were excited to welcome our guests this morning and are looking forward to having them over the next two weeks. #nipmucpride
It's picture day at Nipmuc. Landon, one of our service animals, got in on the action for his school ID. #nipmucpride
The DECA Cookout and Club & Activities fair is underway. Thank you to the Upton Police Department and our DECA program for helping to make this annual event another great success. #nipmucpride #MURSD
September is childhood cancer awareness month and the Nipmuc student body is taking part in a month long challenge to fill as many boxes as they can with non-perishable items to donate to the food pantry at Why Me and Sherry's House in Worcester, MA.
Why Me and Sherry's House is a nonprofit that helps families coping with childhood cancer. At this time, Sherry's House is hosting 4 families that are undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer. Help us by donating a non-perishable item! You or your Nipmuc student can bring in the item through the month of September in recognition of childhood cancer awareness month. Please leave all items in the front lobby.
Thank you in advance for your support! If you have any questions please reach out to Ms. Annunziata at jannunziata@mursd.org.
Cookie Friday is back! Thank you to our VISTA/STAR Program along with DECA to bring these popular treats to our students each Friday to end the week. The smell of fresh baked cookies filled the hallways this morning. Thank you to our master chefs! #nipmucpride

What a great first few days back. We loved having the hallways bustling with students. From the seniors kicking off the week with the senior sunrise to getting acclimated in classes, a school-wide picnic, wellness activities and even bucket drumming. It was a wonderful few days back filled with Nipmuc pride. We are excited for what this new school year has in store. Enjoy the long weekend. #nipmucpride
We were excited to host the freshman and new student orientation yesterday. It was nice to meet our new Nipmuc students and have the chance to welcome them. Class of 2025 Senior Portraits:
How do senior portraits work?
Our school photographer O’Connor Studios will be scheduling portrait sessions at Nipmuc this summer and into the fall. All members of the Class of 2025 are required to attend their scheduled sessions, even if they plan to do a photoshoot with another photographer. There will be no charge for O’Connor’s “Basic” package unless you decide to purchase pictures. You also have the option to pay for a higher level package.
After your session, you will be able to see your photos online and select which one you would like in the yearbook for your formal portrait. You may also use a photo from your O’Connor session for your “Second Photo,” if you’d like.
Any questions, contact O'Connor 's Studio: https://www.oconnorstudioseniors.com/contact.
Today is the last day of school with students being dismissed at 10:45am. Have a great summer! #nipmucpride
